I hope I haven’t over-sold it to you! I’m still about a third of the way from the end, so Ms. Niffenegger has still got that difficult task of drawing it all to a satisfying conclusion. So far, it looks like a safe bet that she can pull it off.

I’ve got you on my RSS reader, so will definitely be dropping in on Wordy Wednesday again.

I’m going to have to give this book another look. Given who likes the book – so many people I normally see eye-to-eye with – I am starting to suspect I simply wasn’t in the right mood or mindset the first time I picked it up. (One of my favorite novels too five tries before it sucked me in, grabbed me by the throat, and held me hostage for over 1000 pages.) Thanks for the reminder and an intriguing teaser.

Hi Barbara,
yes, that’s usually the case. I struggle to think of a good book where the film was even better. I’m sure it is to do with the way we imagine the book, so after that the film is never ‘right’.
